Hailey Barootes

MD, FRCPC

Dr. Hailey Barootes studied medicine at the University of St Andrews and the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. She completed her Pediatric Residency training at Western University, where she served as Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Barootes completed the St. Michael’s Hospital Department of Pediatrics Clinical Fellowship, where she spent an additional year in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and outpatient pediatric ambulatory clinics.

Dr. Barootes provides both primary and consultive care at Kindercare Pediatrics. She has a special interest in premature infants and enjoys attending high risk deliveries and caring for infants in the Level 2C NICU at St. Michael’s Hospital. She also has a special interest in childhood nutrition and provides care in the Nutrition Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital.

Being from a family of restauranteurs, Dr. Barootes enjoys exploring new restaurants and cuisines. She enjoys being back in her hometown and looks forward to further exploring the city of Toronto!
