Cynthia Goldfarb

MD, FRCPC

Cynthia Goldfarb is a pediatrician who has worked in the field of Developmental Pediatrics since 1997. She did her Medical School training at McMaster University in Hamilton, and then completed her Pediatrics training, graduating in the role of Chief Resident, from the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She then went on to do subspecialty fellowship training in Developmental Pediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children.

Dr. Goldfarb was the Medical Director of the Child Development Team at North York General from 2000 until 2014, and is currently the Head of the Community Section of Developmental Pediatrics, in the Division of Developmental Pediatrics, at the University of Toronto. She has sat on the Postgraduate Medical Education Committee for Developmental Pediatrics for many years, and won the Division of Developmental Pediatrics Faculty Teaching Award in 2010.

Dr. Goldfarb has a special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and works at the Autism Research Centre at Holland Bloorview Children’s Rehabilitation Centre , and is a Lead Autism Specialist with the Autism Treatment Network. Dr. Goldfarb had the honor of serving on the Board of Directors of Autism Ontario from 2006 to 2012. Cynthia’s approach involves understanding each child and family’s unique strengths with a view to supporting optimal developmental health and outcome.
