About mirisse

Dr. Mirisse Foroughe is a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in a range of difficulties including learning, memory attention, behaviour, and emotional problems. Presenting concerns often include anxiety, anger, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, trauma and bullying, developmental delay, and social/relationship difficulties. Dr. Mirisse completed a Master’s degree in Health Psychology, and her doctorate in Clinical-Developmental Psychology at York University. She trained as an intern at the Hincks-Dellcrest Center, the Hospital for Sick Children, and the Toronto District SchoolBoard. She is Ontario’s first full-time psychologist in a Family Health Team, providing primary care to children, adolescents, and families. Her academic pursuits include teaching and training students in psychology, as well as a program evaluation of mental health services within the family health team. Dr. Mirisse enjoys collaborating with other clinician-researchers to establish the effectiveness of parent-child therapy, and the role of therapeutic alliance with parents in the treatment process with a child or family.
