Rachel Markin
MD, FRCPC
Dr. Rachel Markin is a primary care and consultant paediatrician. After receiving her Medical Degree from the University of Toronto, she completed a Paediatrics Residency at The Hospital for Sick Children, followed by a Community Paediatrics Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children, specializing in development and mental health. With a strong commitment to teaching, she has completed a teaching certificate through the Centre for Faculty Development at the University of Toronto and has been awarded an MD Program Teaching Award of Excellence. She also holds a Lecturer Position in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Markin focuses her consultant practice on learning, attention, development and behaviour. She values working with children, parents, and schools to help children achieve their learning and developmental potential. She also works as part-time staff at the Hospital for Sick Children on the Ability Team, which focuses on children with developmental concerns.
In her spare time, Dr. Markin enjoys dancing ballet, cooking, and spending time with her family.
