Joanne Vaughan

MD, FRCPC

Dr Joanne Vaughan completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Dalhousie University, her medical school at McGill University and her pediatric residency at the Hospital for Sick Children. She then completed a 1 year fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care before spending 5 years as a staff pediatrician at Toronto East General Hospital (now Michael Garron Hospital). She has been a general pediatrician providing primary care and consultation in East Toronto for 25 years.

Dr Vaughan enjoys primary care immensely and her experience is wide reaching from anticipatory guidance about healthy living to acute care of common medical conditions. She also has interests in parenting after infertility, adoption, and behavioural and mental health.

Joanne values spending time with her 2 children, cooking, gardening, and keeping physical fit and active. She cannot get enough time on her Peloton every week!
