Francine Persico
Francine Persico graduated with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto, and an Honours Bachelor degree in Health Sciences from The University of Western Ontario. She is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
Francine is the Co-Director of Building Blocks Therapy, a private practice providing occupational therapy services to children and their families in the Toronto area.
Francine has extensive experience working with children in diverse settings to promote skill development in the areas of self-care, school and play. Francine has worked with children from preschool through adolescence to provided assessment, consultation and intervention with a focus on fine and gross motor skills, sensory issues, printing skills and activities of daily living. Through one-on- one therapy, group sessions and parent presentations, Francine has provided strategies, education and opportunities to enable participation in meaningful activities.
Francine continues her involvement at The University of Toronto by teaching labs on sensory processing and family centred care in the Occupational Therapy Department. She is excited to provide client and family-centred care as part of the multidisciplinary Kindercare team.
