I am so very pleased to welcome Dr. Deena Savlov to the Kindercare Pediatrics team.

Dr. Savlov will be offering primary care and consulting pediatric services effective July, 2017.  Please read below for more information about Dr. Savlov:

Dr. Deena Savlov received her medical degree at the University of Western Ontario where she was awarded a scholarship for being the most proficient graduate. She completed her pediatric residency at SickKids Hospital in Toronto after which she worked as a general pediatrician at North York General Hospital for 2 years and at SickKids Hospital for 5 years. She is also a Lecturer at the University of Toronto.

Deena’s academic interests are in quality improvement. She completed a certificate course in quality improvement & patient safety through the University of Toronto and has subsequently worked on a number of initiatives to improve patient safety and healthcare delivery.  Her work in this field has been presented at local, national and international conferences. She hopes to extend this expertise to improve care delivery to children in the community.

Deena also has clinical expertise in the care of children with medical complexity. During her years at SickKids Hospital, she provided longitudinal care to children with complex medical needs as well as otherwise healthy children.

In addition to her professional career, Deena is the proud and loving mother of 3 beautiful children. She is very excited to join the Kindercare team.
