Sarah Cantor is a clinical associate at Kindercare Psychology. Sarah has a Masters of Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, MA and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Sarah has worked with children and families in a variety of settings. Following university, she worked as a teacher for elementary aged children in Spain. She later worked with a home-based family support and coaching program for first time parents and their children ages 0-3. Most recently, she has worked as a therapist in a clinic for children, women, and families impacted by trauma.
Sarah works with clients of all ages who experience a range of issues. She has experience working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and difficulty identifying and regulating emotions. In her adult-centered work, Sarah has experience with trauma processing, building positive self-regard, and creating strengths-based life narratives. She works from an attachment-based lens and uses a range of frameworks in her sessions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Above all, Sarah values the client-therapist relationship and aims to bring creativity, fun, and warmth to her work.
